Tribulus terrestris is an annual herbaceous plant that is native to warm temperate and tropical regions in southern Eurasia and Africa. The leaves and shoots are eaten in East Asia and it was also used in traditional medicine. Today it is widely used as an enhancer of libido, male health, and as a general health supplement.
